Dawn Schultz, Sommelier

Dawn Schultz has been in the hospitality industry for twenty years, a Sommelier since 2009. Her background includes training in the Italian and French Wine Scholar Programs, Level Four Wine & Spirits Education Trust, International Sommelier Guild Certification and a passion for sake. A recipient of Les Dames d’Escoffier Scholarships in 2016 and 2017, Dawn Schultz whole-heartedly believes in giving women a lift up in their own wine education. Her journey includes renowned dining establishments like West Restaurant and Blue Water Cafe in Vancouver and Hotel Grand Pacific in Victoria. In 2017, she moved to the Comox Valley offering management and sommelier services at award winning properties such as Kingfisher Resort and Spa, Sonora Resort and Locals Restaurant. The BC Hospitality Foundation honoured her in 2017 with the Sommelier Scholarship to put toward her studies. Dawn’s knowledge of wines and fine dining is certain to make your next wine experience a pleasurable and memorable one.

“My career has spanned over more than a decade and in that time I have been exposed to all manner of skills from fine dining training to professional sake making. It’s this exposure that drives me to learn all and everything about the industry and pass that knowledge on others so they can better themselves, the public and the industry as a whole.”
